About Rui
I connect product thinking, interface craft, and implementation.
I'm a Product Designer with strong UX/UI expertise. I define product structure, build responsive interface systems, work through implementation and launch, and use feedback and behavioral signals to guide what changes next.
Product work that ships
At BAZIC Products, I own most of the corporate website ecosystem—from requirements, platform evaluation, and product structure through Figma systems, custom implementation, responsive QA, accessibility practices, launch, and maintenance. With approximately 90% ownership, design intent stays connected to production constraints.
After launch, I use Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, experiments, customer feedback, and recurring maintenance patterns to prioritize improvements. My Business Analytics background helps me interpret those signals without treating correlation as proof of causality.
Capabilities
A connected toolkit
I use the smallest set of methods and tools that clarifies the problem, improves the interface, and helps the team ship and learn.
Product definition & research
Requirements, stakeholder and user context, survey and interview synthesis, platform constraints, product scope, and information architecture.
UX architecture & interface systems
User flows, wireframes, interaction design, prototyping, responsive UX/UI, design systems, and accessibility practices.
Delivery & implementation
Figma handoff, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Shopify, development collaboration, responsive QA, launch, maintenance, and production trade-offs.
Analytics & iteration
Google Analytics, Shopify Analytics, behavioral signals, experiments, customer feedback, post-launch prioritization, and qualified interpretation of results.
Supporting practice
Craft and tools stay in service of the product.
Visual and motion experience strengthens hierarchy, typography, sequence, and product communication without replacing the product decision behind the work.
AI tools may support research, exploration, prototyping, image work, and coding. I remain responsible for the product problem, design judgment, verification, and final output.
Selected examples include reducing some poster concept work from several days to approximately one day, shipping some UI/component updates in approximately two hours, and completing some image tasks in approximately 20 minutes. These are workflow examples, not blanket productivity claims.
Earlier path
I began with animation in Singapore, then studied graphic design in California before completing a master's degree in Business Analytics. That chronology matters because it explains the craft and analytical range behind the product practice; it is supporting context, not the lead.
